FEB 4th - Drawing the Drawing on Paper

To start out, I think I was the very first person to book this machine so I was a little confused for a while. I was waiting for Peter to come in at 9 and tell me what I was looking at, but between the demo the day before and then, I wasn't sure what had changed. The Prusa Mini was in a different location. Did this mean it was hooked up to a different computer? I couldn't get it to connect to either.
Then I realized the cord we needed to tether the machine was entirely missing.

Once everything was hooked up it went mostly smoothly. I managed to home to machine and use the modified black pen for an outline no problem. When I got to the infill, I wanted to use a different color, and this was my first hiccup. I couldn't get the top of the pen open, so I thought I'd try using one without the special compression mechanism. This didn't work out so well because when the pen made contact with the mesh bed, it moved the binder clip and misaligned everything. I would have tried harder to use the modified pen but I really couldn't figure out how to open it.

Even though it was a little messy from my trial phase, I finished this print entirely in black.
Then I wanted to experiment and made a new infill to try with the scribble pattern. I figured if it was going to be a little misaligned then this infill would compliment that a little better.

This was the most entertaining print to watch and it went smoothly. Then I proceeded to add the outline (this time after the fill, to see what difference it would make). This print was perfectly aligned because I didn't have to switch out the pen, and I liked how it came out. I had to pry myself away from the machine because it was a lot of fun and I would have kept experimenting if I had more time.
